Question: I know what acupuncture is, but what is Chinese medicine?
Answer: Actually, acupuncture is one of the five components of Chinese medicine.
(The five components are acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese nutrition, and qi exercises like Tai Ji and Qi Gong, but acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are the largest components.)
Acupuncturists who use the term "Chinese medicine" in their business name are usually indicating that they practice Chinese herbal medicine in addition to acupuncture.
